Teddy Grahams and Baby Jesus

We went to my church on Monday and met some of my friends to make graham cracker nativity scenes. To make baby Jesus we put a teddy graham in a manger made out of graham crackers. For Mary and Joseph we put two elf cookies and for the stable we stuck graham crackers together with icing. For the angel, we put a pretzel on the top of the stable. We put a marshmallow on top of the pretzel with icing for the head of the angel. I had fun with my friends Luke and Matt. After we made our nativity scenes at the church we went to Burger King with the Kirklands, the Roberts and the Wassenaars. The Wassenaars have kids named Ethan, Cade and Gracie Beth. You will see some pictures of them when you scroll down! Rock on!

This is a picture of me and my nativity scene.

This is what it looked like up close!

Searching for Treasure!

Hey Everyone! This is a picture of my friend Matt and me. I went to his birthday party on Saturday and we had a BLAST! We went on a hayride that looked like a pirate ship. We were looking for Blackbeard's treasure. We got stuck up the hill and you will see what happened. While we were stuck on the hill, we fought for our lives. We tore up the pirate ship! It was a fun day. Thanks, Matt for inviting me to your party! ROCK ON!

Tanks, Tanks and More Tanks!

Today is Veterans Day. I went with my mom and my little sister, Helen to the Veterans Day parade in downtown Knoxville. Veterans Day is a day to honor people who have served in the military. There are some people in the military like Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. Some of the veterans in my family are my great grandfather, Papaw who served in WWII. My grandfather, Papa served in the Navy during Vietnam. He was on two different ships off of the coast of Vietnam during the war. My other grandfather, Granbob served in the Army National Guard for 30 years. I learned that we need to honor all people who serve in the military because they are fighting for our freedom. Freedom means we are free to worship God in our country and that is cool. I learned that other countries do not have the freedoms that we do because they have rulers who tell them what to do. But the only ruler that rules everyone is God.
A lady next to us offered to take this picture.
These guys were dressed as Patriots who fought during the American Revolution.
Here is "Uncle Sam" on a HUGE bicycle! Ha! Ha! Ha!
This is a big tank. Mom said they use these on sand.
Another big camouflage truck!
Look closely in the sky and you can see 4 Air Force jets flying over the parade.

Characters to look for on Halloween!

This year I am going to be Mr. Fantastic for Halloween. We got a good deal on the costume. It was $5.00. I am learning a lot about Mr. Fantastic. He is the leader of the Fantastic Four.

Helen will be Cinderella. Our friend Emma gave her the costume! She will be a beautiful princess!

Beach Bonanza

I went to Myrtle Beach with my family. Hold on to your seat because this is a lot of people. Nana, Papa, Mom, Dad, Helen, Lillie, Connor, Me, Jill, Darrin, Josh, Kathy and last but not least...Marley and Ty! Thats eight adults and six kids! Try to figure out who is who! On Saturday we got to the house and went down to the beach. We played in the house at night and then went to bed. We went putt-putting at Jungle Safari one day. On Friday we went putt-putting at Adventure Golf. At the end of Adventure Golf, if you got a hole in one, you could have a free game on the other course. One little girl got a hole in one. I liked swimming in the pool and the ocean. I went boogie boarding and man was it a good day!

This is my cousin, Marley.
We built a village one afternoon!
This is me, Connor and Ty ("Fireman Sam") playing Pac Man!
Here is a picture of a sunrise from our deck!
This is the house. WOW! There were five bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs! That equals seven. But we didn't use them all!
This is Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith singing "Dive"! My mom and I went to the concert while we were in Myrtle Beach. I got tired and fell asleep at the end, but I loved it! It was fantastic!

This Just In......

COOL Scooter!!!

My neighbor, Ms. Mary has a grandaughter named Erin who is in college now. She doesn't use her scooter anymore, so she gave it to me. I had been wanting one for Christmas, so that will save me a Christmas present! I made them a card and some cookies to say thank you! Helen took this video of me and mom thinks it's cute! Hope you enjoy it!

Painting Party

This is a picture of me, Helen and my friend Emma. On Monday the 22nd, we picked Emma up from her school (HPES) and she came home with us. We painted outside on the fence on brown paper. It was the day of Helen's mother's day out class. (Maybe we should call it mother's and brother's day out!) On Tuesday, we went to HPES and mom walked and ran 30 laps around their little track. I really wanted to run a race and then mom said, "There is a race in November that is called a one mile fun run." So, I'm going to practice and then do it! ROCK ON!

Here I am with my final painting!
Here is my friend Emma!
Here is Helen. Do you see the white paint? Helen thought it was sour cream! I hope she didn't eat it!

BSF/Zoo Class!

I counted how many days it has been since I posted and I got 13 days! Whoa! This is dad and me before we went to BSF on Monday night. BSF is a place where you can learn about scripture and the Bible. This year, we are learning about Moses. I used to go to BSF (which means Bible Study Fellowship) during the day with mom. When Helen turned 2, she got to go too. Now that I am in first grade, I go to the night class with my dad. This was my first week and it was fun.
Here is a picture with Nathan, me, Abbey, Helen, Tyler and Matt. I went to Science class on Tuesday with Abbey and Matt and then we looked around the zoo for a little bit.

Zoo Science Class and M&M Math!

On Tuesday we went to the zoo for Science class. We were supposed to go to the 10:00 class for kids 4-8 years old, but mom missed the exit with the detour and we were going to be a few minutes late. So I got to go to the 11:30 class with the older kids. I think it was better. I answered a question about the sea that none of the other kids got! It was.....how many seas are there? All of the other kids were guessing big numbers, but I said , "one"! And I was right! I am studying oceanography which is all about the ocean. I learned that there are thousands and thousands of creatures in the sea that we have never discovered because some parts of the ocean are 7 miles deep. On Wednesday we did M&M math. Both Helen and I got an M&M math book. You'll see about that in a minute.

This is me in front of the cabin where we had Science class.

This is Helen and mom in front of the zoo sign. I took the picture.
This is a good shot of an elephant. He was getting water out of the pond and throwing it out of his trunk at us!
This is a great picture that I took of a zebra.

This is a picture of some of the M&M's that I got to eat! That's a lot!
Do you think I got too full to eat the last one? No way!

My Big Backyard

I know that you have all been waiting for a new post. I took some pictures of our yard. It sounds boring, huh? It was not boring. Just scroll down and you will find some cool stuff. Here is a skull of a deer that I found on our neighbor's property in the country. Cool, huh?

It's old name is "the Barbarian pole". Time passed and one day Helen said it should be called "the Barbarian stand". Now that is the new name. It is in the backyard to protect us from any robbers because when those robbers see what this is, they will run away like Usain Bolt!

This used to be a ball that you could throw and it would whistle. I left it in the yard and dad ran over it with the lawn mower. Helen and I were on the swing and we heard a big "ka-boom"! I thought, "What in the world was that?" and dad said that it had scared him like a little girl. I'm very upset that it is broken. You could swing the yellow and purple ribbon with the ball on it over your head and let it go and it would whistle. I will miss it!
I think it might be time to have a bon-fire! We cut down a small tree and put it on the fire pit. I told Helen, "Timber"! so she would get out of the way. Maybe we can roast marshmallows and make smores this week!

Rock on!

Flaming Fingers

Flaming fingers on the keyboard! I got this Spongebob typing game from Grankaki and Granbob and today I started learning how to type. I figured out, (actually the computer told me) how to put my fingers on the keys.
A S D F J K L ; and all the others! My score was something between 40 and 49 and before I know it, my score will be 100! Oh yea! Pretty soon I'll be typing on the blog. (Mom has been helping type what I say.) But before I know it, I will be flaming fingers! Rock on!

Playing the game and getting my score!
If you click on the picture, you will see my score!

Wheelin' and Dealin'

New van, baby! We got a new van yesterday. My side of the van is where you can control the air in the back. I'm loving it! Helen loves her new van. Inside the van is awesome. Mom loves the places where you can hang groceries. She wiggles her shoulders every time she finds something neat in the van. Here are some pictures of our new van. I took 2 of them. Mom took the one of Helen and me. Like I always say, "rock on"!

Hanging out in the van in our "lounging clothes"!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

Third Tooth Lost

My top two teeth are loose. I'm waiting for them to come out. Today is the fourth day of school and I lost my third tooth on the bottom! School is going fine. Helen is doing great with her ABC's. My Spelling test was great and my grade was A+! Awesome! Huh? We just thank God for protecting us because we went to Matlock's today and when they checked our tires there was a wire sticking out of one. We could have had a bad wreck so we just thank God for protecting us. Rock on!
